His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, attended a Get-Together ceremony with students, citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who are in Malaysia. The ceremony was held at Hyatt Regency, Kuala Lumpur. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md. Salleh, Minister of Education, Awang Mohd Aizul Hakim bin Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi, Acting High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia; and Dayang Amal Afiqah binti Awang Haji Rusali, President of the Brunei Students' Union in Malaysia.

 

The Ceremony began with the national anthem of Brunei Darussalam, followed by the recitation of verses from Al-Qur'an by Awang Muhammad Firdaus bin Muhammad Salleh from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia, with the translation of the verses read by Awang Muhammad Fawwaz bin Daud from KPJ Healthcare University.

 

Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

 

The President of the Brunei Students Union, in a welcoming address, thanked His Majesty for the opportunities, facilities, support, as well as assistance rendered by His Majesty's Government.

 

His Majesty received a pesambah from the President of the Brunei Students' Union in Malaysia and the Vice President, Awang Shaikh Muhammad Rafi'uddin Hayat bin Shaikh Haji Osman, as well as Dayang Elyana Erniza binti Haji Lamit, Designer of the Pesambah.

 

The Ceremony was highlighted by a performance by the Brunei Students in Malaysia, which also becomes a memorable moment for the 1,082 students, citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who had the opportunity to meet His Majesty.

 

His Majesty's presence is a testament of the Monarch's character as a caring monarch who is close to his subjects and at the same time becoming a special moment long-awaited by the students, citizens and residents abroad who hold His Majesty's leadership in the highest esteem.
